About SWG Builds
A community place for Star Wars Galaxies Legends players to share how they build and play their characters and ships.
What can I share?
Character builds can include expertise, equipment, jewelry, food, toolbar layouts, pets and a written guide. Ship loadouts include a chassis, component stats and a guide. Use the Builds or Space menu to browse or submit them.
Can I finish a build later?
Use Save draft in the builder and return to it through My builds. Drafts belong to your account. Publishing puts the finished submission on the public site.
Who can see my build?
You choose when you publish. Public builds appear in lists and search. Link only keeps a build out of lists and search, but anyone with its link can open it, and you can see how many times it was viewed. Private builds and drafts are visible only to you. You can change the setting any time from the build's page.
What do votes and verification mean?
Votes reflect community support and count only on public builds. A verification label shows which game update the author checked the build against; it isn't a guarantee. A player's reputation counts their public posts.
Do I need the external expertise tool?
The Expertise calculator in the Tools menu runs on SWG Builds. You can create a share link there even if the external Legends tool is unavailable. Imported links are checked against the expertise data used by this site.
Where do ship calculations come from?
Ship calculations are based on SeraphExodus's Loadout Tool. Component names and stats come from the loadout you enter or import. A calculated result depends on those inputs; see the source credits for more information.
Where does pet data come from?
Pet species, families, roles, specials and special icons come from SWG Beasts, with our thanks to its owner. Every pet in a build links to its page there, which also covers where to find the pet and how it mutates.
How do I report a problem?
Use Report on a build, ship or comment, or Report content in your account menu. Administrators review those reports.
Is this an official site?
No. SWG Builds is a fan site and is not affiliated with SWG Legends, Lucasfilm, Disney or Daybreak.
